ReflectInsight Logging Library Updated to v5.7.0

Blog logo

Today we’re pleased to announce the latest release of ReflectInsight logging framework, version 5.7.0.

Release notes for v5.7.0

  • Added IReflectInsight interface to support dependency injection.

WARNING: This may have breaking changes depending on how you’re using the ReflectInsight logging object. To correct the build issue, just use IReflectInsight instead.

error CS0266: Cannot implicitly convert type ‘ReflectSoftware.Insight.Common.IReflectInsight’ to ‘ReflectSoftware.Insight.ReflectInsight’. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)

  • Updated extension methods to be able to invoke ReflectInsight logging methods from the ILogger interface (preliminary work to support Microsoft.Extensions.Logging from DotNet Core on Full .NET Framework)
  • Updated how BindingGroups work so that you can configure unique destinations per group if necessary
    – Other minor bug fixes

You can get this version from NuGet.org along with our updated logging extensions and listeners which we’ll be updating over the next 24 hours.

Please download the latest version of ReflectInsight now and enjoy! Also checkout our updated Samples, and of course all our libraries can be found on NuGet and GitHub.
